Educator Nota 10 Prize was created in 1998 by the Victor Civita Foundation, which, since 2014, has given the Prize in partnership with Abril, Globo and Fundação Roberto Marinho.

It recognizes and values teachers from early childhood Education to high school and also pedagogical coordinators and school managers from public and private schools throughout the country.

The Prize is sponsored by Fundação Lemann, SOMOS Educação e BDO, and is supported by Nova Escola, Instituto Rodrigo Mendes and Unicef. Since 2018, the Educator Nota 10 Prize has been associated with the Global Teacher Prize, a global Education Award.

Over the past 22 editions, more than 75 thousand projects were received, and 241 educators were selected, among teachers and school managers, and they received approximately R$ 2.6 million.


Hand in hand, united for the same purpose: to value Education

This was the message of the 22nd edition of the Educator Nota 10 Prize, the largest and most important Brazilian Basic Education Prize that, among almost five thousand enrolled, elected ten winning teachers, a 2019 Educator of the Year and a project chosen by the popular vote. In a crowded São Paulo Room, the awards ceremony held on the night of Monday 30 September, chose pedagogical coordinator Joice Lamb, from Novo Hamburgo (RS), as Educator of the Year. Patricia Barreto, professor of Nova Cruz (RN), received a tribute for having her project elected by the popular vote #Esseprojetoé10, promoted by the website of the Prize.
